The City of St. Louis Park has received four Minnesota Recreation and Park Association (MRPA) Awards of Excellence. Two awards were received in programming and events for the 2022 Juneteenth Celebration and ShamROC Ice Bowling, both at the Recreation Outdoor Center (ROC). Westwood Hills Nature Center received two awards, one for a social media shoot promoting the facility, and another for the introduction of a GRIT Freedom all-terrain wheelchair for free use by visitors to the nature center. The MRPA each year recognizes agencies or organizations in Minnesota that set a standard of excellence in the field of recreation, parks and leisure services.
