The State of Minnesota is requesting that Hennepin County homeowners who experienced storm or flooding damage between June 16 and July 4, 2024, report it immediately at bit.ly/HennFloodReport or through the QR code below.
Hennepin County didn’t experience the level of damage and costs needed to participate in the declaration for public assistance as part of the federal disaster declaration resulting from intense storms and flooding in June and July. However, disaster aid for individuals, households and families – called individual assistance – is determined separately and differently than public assistance. Some Hennepin County households have applied to the state for this assistance, prompting the state to consider adding Hennepin to its list of eligible individual assistance counties.
As a result, the state needs to reach any households that may have been impacted by storms and flooding between June 16 and July 4, 2024, as the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) will start individual assessments in mid-August. The information is being collected by the Minnesota Department of Public Safety.
