Post Date:June 05, 2025 10:32 a.m.

police officer swearing inCity Clerk Melissa Kennedy administered a ceremonial oath of office to seven police officers at the June 2 St. Louis Park City Council meeting. The ceremonial oath of office allows the police department to periodically introduce some of its newest officers to the public and gives family and friends a chance to show their support.

Each of seven officers took their official oath of office on their start dates, but they have since completed all the requirements associated with their field training and officially transitioned into solo patrol assignments as they serve the St. Louis Park community. Officers Maxwell Dehn, Corey Andress and Craig Wilking were hired as police officers in the second half of 2023, while Officers Hailey Luhmann, Cameron Barukzoy, Nicolas Monaghan and Aaron Gilley were hired in January 2024. Three of the seven officers (Barukzoy, Gilley, Mohaghan) came up through the department’s Pathways to Policing program.
