On July 16, 2025, around 7 a.m., St. Louis Park SWAT officers along with SWAT consortium partners executed a high-risk search warrant in the 6000 block of 37th St. W., at the request of the Minneapolis Police Department. This search warrant was related to a shooting investigation in Minneapolis, with no known related criminal activity in St. Louis Park. Dechelen Chavez Mastin-Wilson (DOB 8/14/01) was safely arrested without incident as part of the operation and transferred into the custody of Minneapolis Police Department investigators.
