Four St. Louis Park council members sworn in for new four-year terms

Four St. Louis Park City Council members took the oath of office Jan. 5, kicking off the council's first regular meeting of the year. Daniel Bashore (ward 1), Jim Engelking (ward 2), Sue Budd (ward 3) and Tim Brausen (ward 4) were sworn into four-year terms by City Clerk Melissa Kennedy. Brausen and Budd are returning members. Bashore and Engelking are new to the council.

The St. Louis Park City Council holds regular meetings on the first and third Mondays of every month at 6:15 p.m. Study sessions are generally held on the second and/or fourth Mondays of every month at 6 p.m. Meetings are held at St. Louis Park City Hall unless otherwise noted on the meeting agenda. There are seven members on the council, including the mayor.

Out of 34,545 registered voters in St. Louis Park, 8,882 voted in the 2025 municipal election, marking the city's highest local election turnout since 1979.
