Last week, the 2017 Citizens Police Academy graduates celebrated their hard work and accomplishments. The graduates spent ten weeks learning about traffic stops, investigations, dispatch, paper target shooting and much more.

The Citizen’s Academy is a ten-week course that gives citizens an inside look at what it’s like to be a St. Louis Park police officer. It aims to strengthen the partnerships between the police and those in the community. The program is open to all interested adults 18 and over who live in St. Louis Park. Details on the spring 2018 academy will be available on the Citizen’s Academy webpage when finalized.
