The wait is over! Cycle the trail system along the METRO Green Line Extension and attend a ribbon-cutting and activities for all ages along the trail on Saturday, May 9.

Schedule of events:

• 10 – 11 a.m. – Community rides from each city, arriving at the ribbon-cutting
• 11 a.m. – noon – Ribbon-cutting and remarks from local leaders. The ribbon-cutting will be adjacent to the West Lake Street Station in Minneapolis.
• Noon – 2 p.m. – Community trail activities

Community events at light rail stations: noon – 2 p.m.

Community organizations will be featured at three Green Line Extension station areas. Each location will offer snacks, water and restrooms.

• West Lake Street Station in Minneapolis
  • Site of the ribbon cutting. A guided group ride and trail tour highlighting Green Line Extension improvements will depart at noon.
• Louisiana Avenue Station in St. Louis Park
  • Enjoy lawn games and face painting (see map).
• Downtown Hopkins Station
  • Step aboard a light rail train and try out the onboard bike rack. Free ice cream will be available while supplies last.
