Project background

Broadway Street Development proposes a seven-story, 208-unit affordable multifamily development located at 8800 Highway 7. The project would include demolition of the existing structure and construction of an approximately 280,000-square-foot building featuring a five-story structured parking garage wrapped by seven levels of housing. The development would also include approximately 318 interior parking stalls and 42 exterior stalls. All residential units in the development would be reserved for households earning between 30% and 80% of the area median income (AMI). The project would include one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, with a majority of larger two- and three-bedroom layouts designed to serve families. 

Broadway Street Development has not yet submitted a formal application to the city. The image above shows a preliminary site plan illustrating the proposed building layout, parking, access points, and connections to Boone Avenue and Minnehaha Creek.

Public meetings

The developer hosted a neighborhood meeting on Tuesday, March 3. No members of the public attended the meeting.
