Project updates

The city council approved the land subdivision and zoning amendments for the Minnetonka Boulevard Twin Homes project in March 2025. Construction has yet to be scheduled.

Project background

The City of St. Louis Park Economic Development Authority (EDA) has entered into a preliminary development agreement with the Greater Metropolitan Housing Corporation (GMHC) to redevelop four modest single-family homes into four twin homes (eight units). GMHC is working with the West Hennepin Affordable Housing Land Trust Homes Within Reach to provide eight affordable home-ownership opportunities at this site. 

Neighborhood meeting 

A neighborhood meeting was held on Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, from 7 to 8 p.m. at Spirit of Christ Lutheran Church, located adjacent to the site, to gather community feedback on the site design. Six members of the public and a city council member attended the meeting.

Public meetings

  • March 17, 2025 – The city council held a second reading of the PUD for the project and adopted the PUD. 
  • March 3, 2025 – The city council passed a resolution approving the plat and held an initial reading on the proposed PUD for the project.
  • Feb. 5, 2025 – The planning commission held a public hearing for the preliminary and final plat and preliminary and final PUD. The commission recommended approval of both applications
