The fire department has partnered with the American Red Cross to provide 10-year, sealed, battery-operated smoke alarms free of charge to seniors who live in their own homes or condos, or anyone physically unable to install/replace smoke alarms.

You must be a St. Louis Park resident to be eligible to receive smoke alarms.

How to get a smoke alarm

To set up an appointment to install smoke alarms, call Fire Station 1 at 952.924.2595.

Note: We are not able to replace hardwired smoke detectors, and carbon monoxide detectors are not available.
