Public skating

Glide across the ice in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere perfect for skaters of all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re practicing your turns, teaching little ones to skate, or just enjoying time with friends, our sessions offer a safe and welcoming environment for everyone. Bring your skates or rent a pair! For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, no sticks or pucks are permitted.

Indoor skating

Indoor public skating is available at The Rec Center, 3700 Monterey Drive.

  • Fees:
    •  Youth and senior: $4 per person OR $35 for 10 passes
    • Adult: $5 per person OR $40 for 10 passes

Drop the puck and join a pickup game at our adult hockey sessions! Whether you're looking to stay in shape, sharpen your skills, or just enjoy the camaraderie, our adult sessions deliver high-energy hockey in a welcoming environment. Lace up, hit the ice and be part of the action!

  • Fee:
    • $5 per person
    • $45 for 10 passes

The Rec Center Skate Shop

The skate shop is located in The Rec Center in between the west and east ice arenas. The shop has rental skates available during public skating sessions. Skate sharpening services may be available outside the below hours. Ask at The Rec Center front desk.

Sunday 2 – 4 p.m.
  • Skate sharpening is $5 per pair.
  • Skate rental is $3 per pair.

Skating lessons

St. Louis Park Skate School offers the Ice Skating Institute (I.S.I.) weSKATE program for ages four and up. Each class presents a progression of specific skills that build upon one another. View a list of current ice skating and hockey lessons.
