The results of the municipal general election held Nov. 4, 2025, are detailed below.

Ward council member results

For city offices elected using ranked-choice voting, first-choice vote totals were available on election night (Nov. 4), but actual results were not tabulated until the following day. The city clerk’s office began tabulation on Nov. 5 and announced results below.

Note: The contests for the offices of ward 2 council member, ward 3 council member and ward 4 council member only required a single round of counting.

ISD 283 school board member results

Results for the 2025 ISD 283 school board contest are available on the Secretary of State's website. School board members are not elected using the ranked-choice method. The top three candidates receiving the most votes were elected.

Ranked-choice contests

In the first round of counting a ranked-choice contest, we total the first-choice votes and check whether any option received more votes than the threshold. The threshold for declaring a winner is 50% of total votes cast plus one.

Daniel Bashore received the most votes (1,105), but he did not have more than the threshold (1,287) to be declared the winner. Overvotes, undervotes and undeclared write-ins (UWI) will be eliminated in the next round of counting. The next highest choices on those ballots will be added to the totals of the remaining candidates.
