Utility box wrap program

Utility box wraps have been used in cities nationwide to add artistic flare and prevent graffiti in neighborhoods and communities. St. Louis Park’s utility box wrap program helps create a sense of community connection and pride, while providing a way to add more artistic beauty to the city.

Public art policy

In 2020, the City of St. Louis Park adopted a strategic roadmap for advancing arts and culture, recognizing the essential role they play in community and economic development. This roadmap emphasizes connecting people and ideas, enlivening public spaces, promoting health and well-being, and centering racial equity.

To further strengthen this foundation, the city has developed a public art policy that provides clear guidance for how public art is used, supported and maintained. The policy establishes shared expectations for the community, city council and staff, ensuring that public art efforts are consistent, equitable and aligned with the city’s strategic priorities.
