The drop site opens for the 2026 season on Saturday, April 4 and closes Sunday, November 29. The drop site will be closed on Easter and July 4th. 

All St. Louis Park residents can drop off branches, brush, logs, grass clippings and leaves at the brush drop-off site during regular hours (listed below).

Not accepted: rocks, root balls or stumps, dirt/soil or sod, trash, metal, concrete, fencing, lumber or wood scraps

During residential yard waste season, residents with city solid waste service can set yard waste out for collection on their regular collection day at no extra charge. See the yard waste page for details.

The drop-off site entrance is located at:

  • 6215 Cedar Lake Road

The entrance is found at the intersection of Cedar Lake Road and Colorado Avenue South on the southeast side of the railroad tracks.

St. Louis Park residents may use the city's brush drop-site during these dates and hours. 

  • April-October
    • Tuesdays, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.
    • Saturdays, 7 a.m. - 3 p.m.
    • Sundays, noon - 4 p.m.
  • November
    • Saturdays, 7 a.m. - 3 p.m.
    • Sundays, noon - 4 p.m.

Leaf drop-off instructions

Residents may bring leaves to the yard waste site using bags, containers, or loose in a vehicle.

  • Loose leaves are accepted. You may fill the bed of your truck and sweep the leaves out at the designated drop-off area.
  • Bagged leaves are also accepted, however, plastic bags that are not BPI Certified Compostable must be emptied and removed. 
  • Paper yard waste bags may be left with the leaves. 
  • Check with attendant at the site and they will direct you where to drop your materials.
