Surface Water Management Plan Open House

Next date: Tuesday, November 17, 2026 | 06:00 PM to 07:00 PM

The city is updating its 2019 Surface Water Management Plan, our roadmap for handling stormwater, protecting water quality and keeping St. Louis Park resilient as our climate changes. This update grows out of the city's strategic priorities around climate leadership and building dynamic parks that connect people and nature. It's shaped in partnership with the Metropolitan Council, Bassett Creek Watershed Management Commission and Minnehaha Creek Watershed District.

Swing by to:

  • See what's ahead in the SWMP update process and timeline
  • Check out the current plan and proposed changes
  • Get the scoop on how the city manages and protects our water resources
  • Tell us what matters to you — and find out how you can pitch in, too
  • Help shape a plan built around surface water, flood protection, and long-term environmental stewardship

Grab a seat, ask a question, get your boots a little muddy in the conversation. All are welcome! There will be a short presentation at 6:15 p.m.
