Brush Drop-Off
All St. Louis Park residents can drop off branches, brush, logs, grass clippings and leaves at the brush drop-off site during regular hours (listed below).
During residential yard waste season, residents with city solid waste service can set yard waste out for collection on their regular collection day at no extra charge. See the yard waste page for details.
Requirements
A Minnesota ID, driver's license or utility bill is required as proof of residency.

The entrance is found at the intersection of Cedar Lake Road and Colorado Avenue South on the southeast side of the railroad tracks.

St. Louis Park residents may use the city's brush drop-site during these dates and hours.

- Saturdays: 7 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Fee
There is no charge for St. Louis Park residents who bring material from their homes (non-commercial material).
Acceptable and unacceptable materials
Accepted materials
- Leaves and grass
- Branches/tree limbs up to 8 feet in length (no diameter restrictions)
- Brush
- Logs
- Pumpkins and gourds (no paint, glitter, candles or decorations)
- Christmas trees (live/cut)
Note: Leaves, grass, and branches less than 4 feet in length and 4 inches in diameter are also collected through the city's solid waste collection program. View the yard waste preparation instructions.

Leaf drop-off instructions
Residents may bring leaves to the yard waste site using bags, containers or loose in a vehicle.
- Bagged leaves are accepted. However, plastic bags that are not BPI-certified compostable must be emptied and removed.
- Paper yard waste bags may be left with the leaves.
- Loose leaves are accepted. You may fill the bed of your truck and sweep the leaves out at the designated drop-off area.
Check with the attendant at the site, and they will direct you where to drop your materials.
Compost pickup
St. Louis Park residents can pick up a limited amount of compost at the site each spring and fall, when it is open to residents. Each household can take 25 gallons of compost (equal to five 5-gallon buckets) in the spring and again in the fall.
Compost is located past the gate, near the operator's shed, and is only available during the hours of operation listed on this page.
Proof of residency required.
Bring your own shovel and container.

Wood chips are available for residents to pick up at the brush drop-off site when it is open to residents.
