Boards and Commissions

The City of St. Louis Park encourages residents to share their talents and perspectives by serving on an advisory board or commission. Serving on a board or commission is also a great way to meet people, give back to the community, and pursue initiatives that spark your passions or interests.

Board and commission meetings

Meeting dates and times are set by each board or commission. Meetings are open to the public.

To view upcoming boards and commission meetings, view the city calendar. You can use the filter drop-down at the top to only see boards and commissions meetings if you would like.

Meetings are not held on council approved holidays.

Other opportunities to serve

There are many ways to serve the community and make an impact. The opportunities listed below are not subject to the annual appointment process by council because they are regional in nature, operate under a different authority, and/or members are appointed by another jurisdiction. The work done by each of these bodies is extremely important and contributes to the overall vitality and progress of our community.

Current openings are detailed on each commission's page.

Basset Creek Watershed Management Commission

The Bassett Creek Watershed Management Commission works to maintain and improve the quality of surface and ground water resources of the watershed. The commission is made up of a commissioner, alternate and technical advisor from the nine member municipalities of Crystal, Golden Valley, Medicine Lake, Minneapolis, Minnetonka, New Hope, Plymouth, Robbinsdale and St. Louis Park. The commission meets the third Thursday of every month at 11:30 a.m. in Golden Valley.
