Congratulations to this year's Evergreen Award winners!
Janeen Rae and Paul Lohman (2150 France Ave. S.) won in the traditional garden category. A neighbor nominated them and a panel selected their garden from 15 nominations.
Adrienne Richardson (1825 Jersey Ave. S.) was nominated by a fellow resident and won in the native plant/alternative landscape category.
The Evergreen Award is an annual award that recognizes properties that exemplify unique designs and well-maintained landscapes. Businesses, apartments and houses are all eligible to receive the award, with an emphasis on properties that are visible to the passerby. These landscapes are not only inspiration for community members and other property owners, but they add to the beauty of St. Louis Park neighborhoods.
Each winner received a small evergreen tree, an “Evergreen Award Winner” sign to post in their boulevard for two weeks, and an award certificate presented at the St. Louis Park City Council meeting, Oct. 5.
The winning landscapes were selected by members of the St. Louis Park Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission and key city staff members.
